Are there grants or any government funding for uninsured pregnancies?

harmonyleone asked:

Are there any grants or government funding that I could apply for because I am pregnant and without health coverage? My family does not qualify for low income assistance because we are just above the annual income qualifications. Medical bills are building quickly, any information would be helpful. Thank you.
I live in Maine, I am 24 and Married. I am a stay-at-home mom

i was in the same boat. unfortunately there are no grants for medical bills., your best bet would be trying to get a personal loan to pay your medical bills (you can save the reciepts and write it off on your taxes) .
i have health insurance with an extremely high maternity deductible, so i chose to see a midwife (the ENTIRE package was only 2500) and i make monthly payments of like 75 or 100. however, some doctors wont see you as a self pay without a big down payment and monthly payments that have the package paid off by the time of delivery (which makes your monthly payments unbearably high).

i hope i helped.. good luck!

Only programs such as Medicaid and WIC Women Infants and Children Nutrition program . Grants are not given to pay for medical bills or to those uninsured
