How do people who live in the Ghetto’s across america afford cable tv yet still receive government assistance?

Foxx Mulder to you asked:

I’ve worked for a major cable company installing cable, internet, and phone service and it always amazed me how people who receive government assistance, section 8, green stamps, etc… always own large flat screen televisions, drive cadillacs with expensive shiny rims, and whom bring home $400 worth of groceries…How do they afford all these luxuries? If they can afford all these fine luxuries, why should the government continue to support them? This applies to all people who take advantage of the system: white, black, mexican, chinese, arab, whomever, no one in particular, but all those who abuse the system that was designed to help people get back on their feet during or following hard times (job joss, sickness, etc…)

Shouldn’t these people be charged with grand theft and thrown in jail? I’d rather my tax dollars go to a prison where these people are kept for stealing rather than allow them to sit in front of a large flat screen television drinking King Cobra 40’s and Mad Dog which I and other hard working taxpayers have paid for.
To the people who have answered with insults: truth hurts….doesn’t it? hahahaha

I would love to know that myself. We are considered “rich” by Obama standards but we don’t get cable cause we can’t afford it. It really makes me mad when people complain about poverty while they enjoy all the “extras” that I pay for with my tax dollars. Meanwhile we do without since we are taxed to death and don’t qualify for any assistance of course. I mean, we could of course have cable if we really wanted it badly. But we chose to use that money towards things like charitable contributions and private school tuitions.

I don’t know, but I agree it is wrong. My boyfriends ex wife, who is white, does the same thing. Free insurance, welfare, foodstamps, and is yet living better than me, a starving college student. Hopefully one day they do go to jail, or to Mexico.

I believe they are probably out doing some “creative selling” to subsidize their income. Also some probably do some bartering with their customers for those items.

One day they will most likely have to make a visit to one of those *exclusive type of boys and girls clubs*
the ones where you stay a specific time as allotted by your local or federal judge.
Once they do that they wont have all those nice things anymore.
